Inventiva avileña impide paralización en pozos de petróleo

The recovery of 7.5 and 4.5-kilowatt electric engines prevents the stoppage of oil pumping in the Pina and Cristales fields, belonging to the Majagua Production Base Business Unit (UEB), in Ciego de Ávila.

This invention, whose author is the 34-year-old Ernesto García Canfú, was part of the contributions that the movement of innovators and rationalizers from the province of Ciego de Ávila showed to the second edition of the ExpoAnir Solutions Cuba exhibition fair, held during the days 24 and 25 of the current month.

García Canfú specified exclusively to the Cuban News Agency that the solution consist in winding up the damaged coils with the UEB's own resources, mainly due to electrical storms.

Adalberto Echemendía Sánchez, head of the UEB Transportation workshop, explained that due to its effectiveness, it has already been generalized in 16 other engines of equal power, but they can provide this service to entities such as Aqueduct and Sewerage, which uses similar or the same engines, and the Cuban economy is not in a position to import.

Another innovation of the Majagua oil tankers presented at ExpoAnir Solutions Cuba was the emergency adaptation of a Mitsubishi L-200 truck that is used in the Production department.

Echemendía Sánchez, one of the authors of the work, pointed out that the brake caliper of a Lada was adjusted to the transmission of the Mitsubishi, which acts by an auxiliary pump connected to the emergency lever, independently.

The UEB Majagua Production belongs to the Central Oil Drilling and Extraction Company (EPEP) and operates five fields where there is crude oil: Jarahueca and Jatibonico, in Sancti Spíritus; Cristales, Pina and Brujo, in Ciego de Ávila.

In this second edition of the Fair, aniristas from more than 50 companies in the territory participated and among its objectives was to show the contributions of innovators with a high degree of knowledge and talent to put them in function of the solutions to problems and in local development projects, as well as favor the materialization of the circular economy where possible.

Luis Hugo Negret Pérez, president of the Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (Anir) in the province, informed the Trabajadores website that the Expo also favors the link with universities and research centers.
