Tormenta tropical Arlene ha perdido en organización pero mantiene vientos máximos sostenidos de 65 kilómetros por hora

During the early morning, the weak tropical storm Arlene has lost organization, but it still maintains maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour, with higher gusts, a central pressure of 998 hectoPascal and moves in a course close to the south-southeast at a rate of 15 kilometers per hour.

At 6.00 a.m., its central region was estimated at 24.4 degrees north latitude and 85.4 degrees west longitude, a position that places it in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico about 365 kilometers west of Key West and 280 kilometers to the north of Cape San Antonio, western end of Pinar del Río.

In the next 12 to 24 hours, this system will continue its movement with a course close to the south-southeast, with little change in its speed of translation, weakening further, to become a tropical depression today, Saturday, and a remnant low overnight until it dissipates in southeastern waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

The next Tropical Cyclone Warning for this system will be issued at 6.00 p.m. on Saturday.
