Unión Eléctrica estima una afectación al servicio de 151 MW en el horario pico nocturno de este miércoles

The Electrical Power Company of Cuba reported that on Tuesday the service was affected due to a deficit in generation capacity from 5:40 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. today (06:10 a.m.). The maximum impact of the day was 266 MW, at 10:00 p.m.

The availability of the SEN at 07:00 today, Wednesday, is 2,420 MW and the demand is 2,080 MW. During the daytime, the service is not estimated to be affected due to a deficit in generation capacity.

Unit 2 of CTE Felton and unit 5 of CTE Renté are out of service due to a breakdown. Unit 5 of Nuevitas, unit 8 of CTE Mariel (in the start-up process) and unit 6 of CTE Renté are under maintenance.

Limitations on thermal generation (201 MW) are maintained. In distributed generation, 964 MW are unavailable due to failure and 158 MW are under maintenance.

For the peak, the entry of unit 8 of Mariel with 65 MW is estimated, the entry of unit 2 of Robustiano León (Hydroelectric) with 14 MW, the entry of three engines in Mobile Generation with 50 MW, and the recovery of 70 MW that are out for fuel.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,619 MW and a maximum demand of 2,700 MW are estimated for the peak hour, for a deficit of 81 MW, therefore an affectation to the service of 151 MW is expected during this time.
