The eight permanent commissions that made up the first three-day parliamentary visit to this central province, corresponding to the X Legislature, described the government management in Ciego de Ávila as positive.

Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People's Power, argued that Ciego de Ávila shows an integrated work system with great possibilities of improving its management mechanisms.

However, deficiencies contrasted with the opinion of the people were pointed out, such as the need to stabilize the variety of offers in the agricultural markets, the high prices and the scarcity of public transport, among other issues of high popular sensitivity.

Homero Acosta Álvarez, Secretary of the National Assembly of People's Power, highlighted the renewal of district delegates as an opportunity to strengthen the integrated system in synergy with the voters.

The Coordinator of the Permanent Labor Commissions of Parliament, Marta Hernández Romero, stressed the importance of control and supervision not only of the Administration Councils, but also of responses to complaints and proposals from citizens.

The first parliamentary visit of the X Legislature of the National Assembly of People's Power in Ciego de Ávila made it possible to identify both the challenges and the progress of the main municipal development strategies.
