The relevance of the professional training process enabled the groups of the Faculties of Medical Sciences of Ciego de Ávila and Morón to carry out a successful external evaluation of the Medicine and Dentistry careers.

The analysis of the different variables that support the evaluation of the National Accreditation Board (JAN by its Spanish initils) identified many more strengths than weaknesses in both careers and in four other medical specialties.

To the accreditation of Medicine and Stomatology are added the medical specialties of Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as Natural and Traditional Medicine in the Provincial General Teaching Hospitals of Ciego de Ávila and Morón.

The highest political and government authorities of Ciego de Ávila accompanied the experts and the evaluators during the presentation of the results, a propitious moment to recognize those who with their performance contributed to the successful external evaluation.
