The Military Region of Ciego de Ávila carried out an act of promotion for the 70th anniversary of the assaults on the Guillermón Moncada barracks in Santiago de Cuba and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks in Bayamo.

The troops that participated in the promotion ceremony are made up of young officers whose military performance perpetuates the example of the centennial generation.

Captain Adriana Robledo Peacock, a native of Santiago de Cuba, and First Lieutenant Juan Castillo Herrera, both recently promoted officers, reaffirmed their patriotic commitment, as well as their eternal tribute to the Moncada heroes.

The occasion was also propitious for officers Yanet Espinosa Montero, Yaimi Civil Abreu, Yorisel Echemendia Morales, Rodolfo Millán Suárez and Mailen Morales Ramírez to receive the membership card of the Communist Party of Cuba.
The declaimer Roberto Castillo Pérez and the suddentist Yenier Delgado with the child Sian Javier Reyes Burgos, from the Raúl Rondón Castillo House of the Tenth, artistically enlivened the military ceremony.

The act of promotion was presided over by First Colonel Israel Cubertier Valdés, accompanied by leaders of the Party and the Government, as well as other chiefs and officers of the Military Region of Ciego de Ávila.
