The Provincial Defense Council of Ciego de Ávila urges to take extreme hygiene measures for both families and the community because of the growing increase in travelers from abroad and, therefore, new imported cases of Covid-19. More than 300 travelers are kept under surveillance in this central territory, and among them, around 150 belong to the provincial capital of Ciego de Ávila.

Although all travelers strictly comply with the established protocols, the families who host them have an obligation to also limit their movement. Beyond the strict epidemiological surveillance with travelers, the opening of all the country's airports implies at the same time the strengthening of individual and collective responsibility in each neighborhood and community.
