Last Friday, the Cuban deputies continued in the Saturday session, and through the videoconference system, the debates to consolidate the draft laws referring to the Organization and Functioning of the Provincial Government of People's Power and the Municipal Administration Council as a continuation of the previous analyzes.

Ciego de Ávila, as the rest of the country, has the representation of its parliamentarians, witnesses and protagonists of a process of exchanges aimed at favoring the new legislation, which in turn, will strengthen the governance structures in all the territories of the country.

Esteban Lazo Hernández, member of the Political Bureau and president of the National Assembly of People's Power, highlighted the abundance of criteria issued from several regions of the country and insisted on the importance of preserving the unity of the revolutionary forces against the recent demonstrations that took place by instigated groups from the outside.

This draft laws will be exposed for their approval in the sessions of the National Assembly conceived, by videoconference, for the coming days 16 and 17.

During the Saturday session, there was a brief speech by Betsy Díaz Velázquez, Minister of Internal Trade, who referred to the process of improving retail trade.

This topic will be one of those that the Cuban Parliament will deal with in its next meetings, and includes details on the profound changes in gastronomy, along with other vital aspects such as the operation of wineries and the problems that most affect the sector.

The leader made reference to various problems faced in the structural order, as issues with operation, infrastructure, and also, the essential transformation of human capital.

Unlike the usual sessions of the National Assembly, the one convened for the end of the year will take place through the videoconferencing system, which prevents the displacement of deputies over long distances and the concentration of people, to which are added biosecurity measures that were already established to prevent infections with Covid-19.
