In 2020, the training of more than 300 people of different ages, in courses given in the Young Computer and Electronics Clubs (JCCE by its Spanish initials), shows progress in the process of computerization of society in the municipality of Morón.
The main preparations were related to the operations in Microsoft Office, Intranet and Internet browsing; work, management and generation of content in social networks, and the particularities for the creation of articles for the Cuban Collaborative Encyclopedia on the Network (Ecured).
The services such as computing time, browsing, sale of the antivirus Segurática, computer assistance in the facilities and at home, and computer rents to legal entities, generated the largest contributions to the income plan, exceeded by 7%, reaching a figure of 176 014.03 Cuban pesos.
Also, social activities such as those carried out with the elderly, disabled people, talented children and pupils from the circles of interest achieved an impact in the so-called Geroclub.
The Master in Higher Education Sciences Roeldys González Laffita, municipal director of the JCCE in Morón, highlighted the efficiency in the management of the workers that are members of the three centers that provide services in the northern territory of the province of Ciego de Ávila.
"In complex circumstances, the work with natural people in entities and in homes was promoted due to the Covid-19 pandemic, complying in all cases with hygienic measures to avoid contagion and the spread of the disease, fundamentally the use of means of protection and disinfection of feet, hands and items of common use. The observance of the regulations minimized the risks ”, expressed the manager.
The weekly service, known as el paquete La Mochila, has been maintained as an alternative for audiovisual entertainment, with the aim of distributing national and foreign materials that satisfy the likes and interests of different audiences, based on proposals that correspond to the principles and values that the Cuban State promotes, and contribute to the disclosure of the national culture and the consolidation of the country's identity.
González Laffita specified that the price modifications implemented as part of the Ordering Task have not had a negative impact on the benefits of the JCCE of the municipality of Morón. The JCCE constitutes a stronghold in the computerization of Cuban society, which promotes the "orderly and massive use of Information and Communication Technologies (TICs by its Spanish initials) in daily life, to meet the needs of all spheres of society in its effort to achieve more and more effectiveness and efficiency in all processes and, consequently, greater generation of wealth and increasing in the quality of life of citizens ”, it is highlighted in Ecured.
