Iniciarán ventas en MLC a productores agrícolas de Ciego de Ávila

The opening of a store in freely convertible currency (MLC by its Spanish initials) in the Agricultural Supply Company in Ciego de Ávila (ESACA by its Spanish initials), will expand the commercialization of resources that are destined for agriculture and will promote the obtaining of foreign exchange for the economic and social development of the country.

The new entity defines as clients to natural and legal persons linked to agricultural activities, with whom they will start their operations next week, for which they foresee the sale of 285 pairs of PVC boots, 500 kilograms of electrodes, 5 000 mesh sacks for harvesting crops, 800 liters of CBFERT liquid fertilizer and 600 machetes of different types.

“These resources were demanded in advance by companies such as Agroindustrial D’Ceballos and Cultivos Varios La Cuba, as well as private producers, which shows the impact that the new modality of commercialization will have. The income in MLC will also favor the acquisition of resources to promote sales in national currency in the remaining stores, distributed in the 10 municipalities of the province ”, Alcides Acosta Aguilar highlighted, acting director of the Base Business Unit (UEB by its Spanish initials) Marketing center from ESACA.

According to availability, other offers should be incorporated, including tractors, and varieties of chemicals, fertilizers, supplies, and construction materials.

The quality of the offers, as duly certified ones, and the conditions of the premises intended for sales, guarantee the correspondence with the prices. These latter issues are currently defined, at the national level, with the aim of standardizing them in all provinces.

The ESACA`s MLC store will promote the commercialization of nationally-made chemical products, with high demand among Ciego de Ávila`s state producers and individuals at this time of year, including Turisave and Nicosave, with proven effectiveness to combat pests and develop crops such as tomatoes, beans, chili peppers and pumpkin.

By starting a new sales modality, ESACA's marketing UEB will contribute to the fulfillment of the Food Sovereignty and Nutrition Education Program, as well as local development strategies to achieve self-sufficiency.
