The reality that no worries and concerns on the part of those who work the land and produce food, both in the state and in the cooperative and peasant sector were left out of the analysis, was the maxim that prevailed to evaluate the impact of Task Ordering in the sector, in a meeting with the agricultural producers of this province.
Various approaches and concerns raised, such as those referring to the new price of milk and its transport, the rate for the collection of electricity, defaults, economic efficiency, exports and cost tokens of each of the productions, among other topics, occupied the center of the exchange, «clear and enlightening», as Noel Rodríguez Mesa described it, President of the Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS) José Martí, who intervened on behalf of the 362 associated ones with his grassroots organization.
The meeting was attended by prominent producers, presidents of cooperatives, directors of companies and authorities of the Party and the Government in the territory, headed by the member of the Central Committee of the Party and the Council of State, Rafael Santiesteban Pozo, president of ANAP; Meisi Bolaños Weiss, head of the Ministry of Finance and Prices and Gustavo Rodríguez Rollero, Minister of Agriculture.
Several interventions agreed that the price of a liter of milk at seven pesos and fifty cents does not cover all the expenses that have been had in the productive inputs, including refrigerated points, with a high consumption of electricity and the salary of those who work there.
On these points, the head of agriculture said that in the tariff of payment of electricity is not conceived that, due to someone's inefficiency, the milk stays there 10 hours, 12 and up to 24, as has happened in certain places.
"The cooling points, as the name implies," are willing to preserve food 3,4 or 5 hours with the best possible quality, until it is transferred to the industry dairy» the head of the agriculture clarified.
The truth is that, at these collection points, both the producers and the industry have their best ally.
At another point in the meeting, Rodríguez Rollero questioned the losses of the Ceballos agro-industrial company after the Ordering Task arrived. He insisted that this entity will be strengthened, based on the experience that has in the export of a wide range of products, such as charcoal, MD-2 pineapple, fruit juices, among other supplies.
«Nobody is going to understand that a company like this one has losses, if it has always been avant-garde, one of the most prominent of its kind in the country», he commented.
Director Alba González Rodríguez said that in January they lost more than four million pesos, something that had never happened, but they estimate to close with profits in the first 3 months and for this they have the will of the workers and managers, top actors to make it "come to the fore", how it is going to happen.
For now, «the adjustment to the prices of guava, mango and papaya, coupled with advice from ANEC specialists, the University Máximo Gómez Báez and other institutions, will allow the reduction of up to 35% of the prices of manufactured products that the entity will expender to the population. We are ordering ourselves and we will take advantage of all the opportunities», González Rodríguez stated.
The head of agriculture noted the need to examine each link in the productive chain, which is where efficiency is generated. «The problems of a production cannot be transferred in the form of prices to the population so that let the people pay them, ”he added.
Meisi Bolaños Weiss, Minister of Finance and Prices, said that among all the good aspects of the Ordering Task, she highlights that «it reveals distortions and irregularities that existed since the past and today they cannot be assimilated ” and clarified that in the case of electricity, the rearrangement only reduced partially the subsidy to the millionaire bill that the country spends for that concept, hence the need to be more efficient and rational in processes.
