    Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, held a valuable exchange with agricultural producers from Baraguá in Ciego de Ávila. Tapia Fonseca began the tour of the CCS Máximo Gómez Báez, which pays weekly harvests to its producers and does not register any non-payment.

    He confirmed that the CCS has 74 farms and 149 associates, as reported by its president Valentín Delgado, and that they have planted more than 300 hectares of bananas, tomatoes, beans and fruits. They have invested in 10 rustic growing houses covering 0.42 hectares of tomatoes, close to the harvest and others in the seedbed phase. The perspective is to reach 2.4 tons per house, which will revert to income of more than a quarter of a million pesos for the cooperative.

    The deputy prime minister insisted that financial discipline is vital for the ordering task in all economic orders. During the tour, the leader visited areas of the local development project of a mini-industry for the benefit, processing and marketing of viands, fruits and vegetables.

    In the municipality Primero de Enero, during his visit, he learned that this Friday the harvest of some 270 hectares of black and red beans will begin, harvested entirely with biological means and organic fertilizers and on Saturday the potato harvesting, details offered by Jorge Maceo Lorenzo, General Director of the Agricultural Company Arnaldo Ramírez

    The Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca was accompanied by the highest political and government authorities of this central province.
