Jardines del Rey se consolida como destino turístico confiable

Jardines del Rey is consolidated as a reliable tourist destination by strengthening the hygienic-sanitary conditions in 139 hotel, non-hotel and support facilities, recognised with the category the Most Hygienic and Safe Tourism and accrued as a guarantee to maintain the vitality of the tourism industry in the country.

As part of the certification process, the conditions for compliance with hygienic-sanitary measures are evaluated, including staff training, availability of means of protection and their mandatory use in the case of workers, disinfection of hands, feet, surfaces and objects of common use, and taking the temperature of the staff and customers during their arrival.

Yuliet López González, superior territorial policy specialist who attends to Quality in the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR by its Spanish initials), stressed that “the health care of workers and clients is a priority in the face of the threats of the pandemic Covid-19, for this reason the means of protection and their proper use are guaranteed, in accordance with the regulations drawn up by the Ministries of Public Health and Tourism, and the particularities and risks identified in the different facilities.

The process of categorization of More Hygienic and Safe Tourism applies to all operational areas of MINTUR, including offices and companies, started in July 2020 and expected to conclude at the end of the first quarter of the current year.

López González emphasized that the condition must be renewed annually and, every six months, the certified facilities will be subjected to a re-control to examine compliance with the hygienic-sanitary protocols.

"The practices assumed in the context of Covid-19 have had a positive impact on the quality of services in our facilities, therefore, we will maintain them even if the health situation in the country and the world normalizes," the source itself added.

The MINTUR Delegation in the province recognizes the strengthening of its ties with the Ministry of Public Health to ensure the development of tourism operations. The accompaniment during the certification process of the facilities, the permanent presence of the medical staff in the hotel consultations and the incorporation of Hygiene and Epidemiology graduates to these teams, confirm the strengthening of the ties between both sectors.

The Sol Cayo Coco facility continues to function as a hotel-hospital, equipped for asymptomatic positive patients. Likewise, the transfer of patients with symptoms to health centers with advanced resources is ensured.

The surveys of the tourist destination Jardines del Rey show favorable satisfaction rates in relation to the Hygiene parameter, and show the recognition and gratitude of clients for the measures adopted to prevent the contagion and spread of Covid-19, in a global epidemiological scenario extremely complex.
