Jurists from all over the country will participate in the II Virtual Forum on Notaries and Public Registries, to be held from May 17 to 19, with the aim of sharing experiences and scientific results that contribute to improving the services of the Ministry of Justice (MINJUS).

The MSc. Marla Iris Delgado Knight, president of the Provincial Chapter of the Society of Cuban Notaries and organizer of the event, specified to the Ciego de Ávila`s Citizen Portal that, from the registry and notarial perspective, issues related to people and families rights, rectification of the registered titles, the new actors of the micro, small and medium enterprises and the modernization of the MINJUS public services.

The meeting, sponsored by the Provincial Chapter of the Society of Cuban Notaries in Ciego de Ávila, the Máximo Gómez Báez University and the Provincial Directorate of Justice, is committed to the use of electronic means to promote exchange between professionals, considering that legal work does not stop, despite the complexities in the epidemiological situation.

Delgado Knight, who is also a professor of Notarial Law at the Ciego de Ávila`s university, expressed the commitment of Cuban jurists to accompany the political, economic and social transformations that are taking place in the country.

“Security is a sensation that we instinctively seek, that is why the Law offers mechanisms and institutions aimed at achieving it. In this endeavor, registrars of civil status and property, professors from different university centers in the country, notaries, lawyers, we will formulate proposals that contribute to the improvement of our performance, in order to achieve a service with the required quality and transparency”, she emphasized.
