The bottle wash represented a saving of 23 000 euros for the Ciego de Ávila`s Raw Materials Recovery Company.

Despite the obsolescence of the machinery and the limitations imposed by the US blockade, the Raw Materials Recovery Company of the province of Ciego de Ávila maintains high technical availability, as a result of the work carried out by the movement of innovators and rationalizers.

 Kendry Mastrapa Diéguez, Director of Operations, pointed out that most of the entity's workers are linked to the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR by its Spanish initials) and are involved in the creation and recovery of pieces that ensure the vitality of the equipment.

The conversion of a backhoe into a crane facilitates the movements of raw materials in the entity's yard and the loading operations towards the trains, including the more than 500 tons of steel destined monthly to the factories of bars for the construction of houses.

"In circumstances marked by restrictions for technological modernization and the acquisition of spare parts, the ingenuity of the aniristas allows the recovery of means of transport and ensures the operation of the non-ferrous cardboard and metal presses", Manuel Rieche González, CEO of the Ciego de Ávila`s ERMP, highlighted.

The invention of equipment (bottle washing machine, cable stripper, glass grinder and machine to obtain wadding using textile waste), evidences the search for solutions to process, diversify productions and achieve productive chains.

Mastrapa Diéguez stressed that the company has a budget to reward workers with relevant contributions, without underestimating the value of moral recognition in a group worthy of the conditions of the National Vanguard and Victories Collective.

Rieche González said that the US blockade also affects the processing of raw materials by imposing limitations on the entry of products and the execution of investments, which leads to delays in the substitution and replacement processes in the national economy, unfavorable circumstances to recover.

"It also involves difficulties in making investments and obtaining supplies, which directly affects the development of our company," Manuel added.
