Aseguran venta de paquetes turísticos para aislamiento de viajeros

The Cuban Travel Agency Cubanacán Jardines del Rey, in the province of Ciego de Ávila, ensures compliance with the measures guided by the Cuban government to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, through the sale of tourist packages for the isolation of travelers residing in the national territory that arrive through the international airports of Cayo Coco and Varadero.

The product includes the transfer from the air terminals to the hotel facilities of Jardines del Rey (Colonial Cayo Coco, Villa Azul and Sol Cayo Coco) and Varadero (Starfish Las Palmas, Be Live Los Cactus, Mar del Sur and Roc Varadero), where they will stay for six nights, Leordany Martínez Córdova, deputy director of operations of Cubanacán Travels in the territory, said.

Lisandra González, commercial deputy director of the entity, stressed that the sales made in the bureaus set up at the Jardines del Rey International Airport, Hotel Rueda, Martí Park in the city of Morón and the Agency itself, have reported significant income for the country in freely convertible currency. The purchase of tourist packages can be made in any of these places, in the case of the air terminal with the possibility of doing so when entering or leaving the country, and services are also offered to pay with credit cards and through the virtual platforms EnZona or Transfermóvil.

The sources of information coincided in affirming that tourist facilities guarantee accommodation in appropriate conditions (comfortable rooms, food and beverage services, and medical care), to ensure compliance with hygienic-sanitary measures and customer satisfaction.

The sales of tourist packages for the isolation of travelers from abroad began on February 9, and were encouraged by establishing the obligation that residents in Cuba, who arrive through the air terminals of Varadero and Cayo, fulfill that period in tourist facilities of those destinations, assuming the cost of the stay.

In this regard, the Cubadebate news site reflects, that as of June 20, travelers entering Cuba through said tourist destinations must present a tourist or isolation package, as appropriate, before boarding their flight, according to Ernesto Soberón's statements, director general of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad of the Foreign Ministry.
