This Sunday, executives of Ciego de Ávila`s Community Services Agency denied the fake news circulating on social networks about alleged burials of those Covid-19 fatalities in the cemetery of the capital city.

Jorge Enrique Pérez González, Municipal Director of Community Services Agency in Ciego de Ávila, stated that deceased patients are not buried in mass graves in Morón`s graveyard or in any other in the province.

Such false rumors are part of the destabilizing political campaign that, through internet, the extreme right of Miami promotes in order to justify in the eyes of the world a military intervention on the island.

"For fifteen years, the expansion of Ciego de Ávila`s municipal necropolis has been gradually budgeted, but the rise of the current Covid-19 regrowth has forced investment to be accelerated with the construction of new niches," Jorge Enrique Pérez González said.
