Exigen mayor dinamismo para enfrentar la pandemia en Morón

The poor management of Morón municipality`s cadres contrasts with the reality in that territory, designated as the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party (CCPCC by its Spanish initials), emphasized during the control of the measures to reverse the epidemiological situation.

The political leader criticized the persistence of problems in primary health care (shortage of personnel and poor structural condition of the family doctor's offices); and referred to weaknesses in integrated community work that prevent greater control of the sick, isolation measures, mobility, messaging services and discipline in the neighborhoods.

The collection of suspected and positive patients for the disease with admission criteria is a problem to be solved in the next few hours, taking into account the existence of more than 290 hospitalization capacities and the need to contain community transmission of the virus.

Community factors must play a leading role in the organization and fulfillment of this task, raising awareness of patients who have been refused admission and, in cases of disrespect for health regulations; they must act with rationality and rigor in the application of the legislation in force, for the benefit of collective security, Broche Lorenzo stressed.

Emphasis was placed on the urgency of continuing to improve conditions and care in the hospital and isolation centers in order to guarantee the well-being, safety and adequate treatment of patients suffering from SARS-CoV-2.

Likewise, the delay in vaccination with Abdala was pointed out as a red point, 52% completed to date and, in the case of pregnant women, 101 remain there to be inoculated with the immunogenic medication. In addition, it requires greater attention and control to this group of risk, in line with the demands and priorities outlined by the country's top management to protect pregnant women.

The CCPCC Secretariat member stressed that, as of this Thursday, August 12, Biomodulin T will begin to be supplied to people over 60 years of age and Nasalferon to pregnant women with gestation time of 26 or more weeks, both drugs used to prevent infection in Morón.Broche Lorenzo, also head of the CCPCC's Department of Education, Sports and Science, called for a performance to be achieved in accordance with the efforts of the country's highest leadership and pointed out that “we are in a war to which we must dedicate ourselves to be victorious, because you (the Morón`s citizens) are not a people of defeats."

The meeting with cadres from the Morón territory was also chaired by Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila and Juan Carlos García Granda, Ministers of Transport and Tourism, respectively; officials of the Ministry of Public Health, and the highest authorities of the Cuban Communist Party and Government in the province of Ciego de Ávila.
