On Thursday afternoon, Dr. Ileana Morales Suárez, director of Science and Technological Innovation of the Ministry of Public Health, acknowledged a slowdown phase of COVID-19 in Ciego de Ávila.

In a meeting held at the Ciego de Ávila`s Medical University Morales Suárez exchanged with the municipal directors of Health and heads of Health areas of the provincial capital about the management of Coronavirus cases.

The directive, accompanied by the provincial director of Health, Dr. Ángel Batista Díaz and by specialists from the ministry, acknowledged that the province is heading to control the Pandemic, according to figures from recent days.

The specialists discussed the adaptation of protocols with the use of new drugs and emphasized the care of pediatric patients, pregnant women and others with high morbidity.
