The reopening of vital services and the delivery of new work objects favor the quality of specialized medical care at the Doctor Antonio Luaces Iraola Provincial General Teaching Hospital in Ciego de Ávila. The inauguration of the Human Milk Bank confirms the excellence of the neonatology services, at the same time that it weighs the nutritional and immunological values ​​of breast milk.

The new head office of the Provincial Center for Medical Genetics is another one of the work objects that already provides specialized and high-tech services to the population. In a capital way, the Diabetic Care and Education Center was also restored, an institution that expanded its network of consultations and specialized laboratories. The reopening of these services, as well as the delivery of these construction objects was possible thanks to the support of companies and self-employed workers, who also received awards.

Dr. Alberto Moronta, Director of the Provincial Hospital, said that the repairs are part of the constructive program for the 70th anniversary of the institution, which has benefited in the last stage with the entry of new equipment and means, the result of international solidarity.
