A donation of personal hygiene products, food and means of protection, made by the solidarity aid group El Corazón de Morón, benefited the isolation center located in the Rafael Morales Pedagogical School, in the Rooster`s City, where they treat infected patients with COVID-19.

Dr. Yacel Palomino Herrera, director of that institution, expressed the satisfaction of workers and patients, not only for the delivery, but also for the integration of people and organizations to El Corazón de Morón to join the efforts of the Ministry of Public Health in the fight against the pandemic.

"This shows that we are thinking as a country from different scenarios by contributing and sharing what we have, putting our hearts to Morón and Cuba to emerge victorious from this arduous task," the doctor added.

The aforementioned property is one of the largest isolation centers in the territory of Ciego de Ávila, with 333 income capacities, of which 222 remain available and less than a dozen are currently occupied, due to the decrease in infections as a result of the actions to contain the transmission of the virus, including vaccination, gradually extended to all population segments.

Elaine García Cañizares, coordinator of the solidarity aid group - with more than 200 members from different regions of the country, mostly from the Rooster`s City - highlighted that it is the fifth donation made to health institutions linked to the confrontation with the coronavirus, since the constitution of El Corazón de Morón, in July of the current year.

In the last three months, they made deliveries to the Roberto Rodríguez Fernández Provincial General Teaching Hospital, nursing and maternity homes, the Frank País School, the Psych-pedagogical Care Center and other isolation institutions in the town.
