Disminuirán afectaciones eléctricas en el día de hoy

The effects due to lack of electricity will decrease in the rest of the day, with an availability of the National Electro-energetic System (SEN) higher than demand, the Electricity Union reports on its Facebook page.

“The availability of the SEN at 07:00 hours is 2,230 MW and the demand is 2,078 MW, with the entire system in service. If current conditions are maintained, no damage is expected on the day, "the note says.

In the same way, it was announced that the entry into the system of Diez de Octubre, unit four of the Thermoelectric Power Plant (CTE), from Nuevitas, and Lidio Ramón Pérez, unit two from the eastern Holguín province.

“The information refers to the CTE Otto Parellada (Tallapiedra), units seven of Máximo Gómez (Mariel), unit five of Diez de Octubre and units three and four of Antonio Maceo(Santiago de Cuba), are out of service due to a breakdown. However, it is worked uninterruptedly to resolve breakdowns and incorporate the blocks into generation.Unit four of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes (Cienfuegos) is under maintenance. The limitations on thermal generation are yet (540 MW).

For peak hours, availability is estimated at 2,777 MW and a maximum demand of 2,680 MW, for a 97 MW reserve. If the expected conditions are maintained, no service impacts are forecast at this time.
