Diputados avileños  rechazan guerra no convencional contra Cuba

On behalf of the more than 357,000 Ciego de Ávila people, the deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) for this province, ratified the determination to defend, make irrevocable Socialism in the Cuban nation and expressed during the Seventh Ordinary Period of Sessions, of the IX Legislature, of the supreme organ of the power of the State.

During its first working session, the highest legislative body made a statement of condemnation against the actions carried out by the United States government as part of its unconventional war against Cuba, according to the Ciego de Ávila Citizen Portal in its online account Facebook.

In this way, it was also reported that those attending the meeting of the Cuban parliament paid tribute, with a minute of silence, to the five parliamentarians who died in the country as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The deputies from all over the country, connected through the videoconferencing system, due to the epidemiological complexities existing in the country, meet on October 27 and 28, a meeting that was preceded this Monday 26 by the study of the four preliminary projects of laws presented by the Governing Council of the People's Supreme Court.

The Portal indicates that during the analysis of the Draft Law on the Code of Processes, clarifications were made related to the modes of action, and it highlights the relevance of this norm in meeting the needs to improve the justice system and protect the rights of people, institutionally, social discipline and internal order.

He also stressed that the Draft Law on the Administrative Process had 54 modifications, including five substantial changes, based on proposals approved by the Legislative Branch.

The impact that a provision like this will have in the institutional sphere and in the citizens is unquestionable, in addition to constitute an expression of the constitutional mandates that protect access to justice, due process and effective judicial protection, which represents a guarantee for the fulfillment of the rights of the people, the aforementioned website expresses.

During the examination of the proposed Law on Criminal Procedure, core aspects were addressed, such as the prominence conferred on crime victims, which led to modifications in 221 articles, 18 of them with substantial changes, according to the publication of that institutional platform on the web.

Portal Avileño emphasized that the search for coherence and the improvement of the norms are part of the legislative exercise and reveal the democratic character of the Cuban judicial system.
