When commemorating the 45th anniversary of the constitution of the organs of Popular Power, three of its founders donated a set of photographs to the local museum that evoke the momentous event in the municipality of Morón, in the province of Ciego de Ávila.

The contribution to the documentary heritage of 21 photographs, two credentials and a letter of recognition, was made by Juan Bautista Reyes, Lázaro Bravo Cedré and Reinaldo Rodríguez Varona. This las person elected as vice president of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power (AMPP) on 31st of October 1976, the date on which the local government structures were formed throughout the country.

The Caonabo museum had graphic memories alluding to the functioning of the local revolutionary government, however, these have extraordinary validity as they perpetuate moments of the founding of the first Executive Committee of the AMPP, Martha Irene González Pérez, director of that cultural institution, said.

The donation will contribute to the historical-cultural and political teachings of future generations and forms a temporary exhibition that will remain open to the public until the first fortnight of November, as part of the activities for the 45th anniversary of the creation of the organs of Popular Power, he added.

This initiative joins the efforts of the Morón museum to increase the illustrative funds of the Cuban revolutionary process, González Pérez stressed.

In the act, they honored Lenin Fernández Reyes, the first president of that organ in Morón, protagonist and promoter of the socio-economic development of the territory, by serving for two continuous terms and then as the highest party authority in that town.
