Hoteles de Cubanacán reabren sus puertas a la temporada invernal

The facilities of Cubanacán Hotels Firm reopened their doors to nationals and foreigners at the beginning of the high tourist season, with the challenge of developing a more hygienic and safe tourism that enhances the leisure industry in the country.

Mariurka Martínez Alemán, delegate of that organization in the territory, highlighted the improvements in Iberostar Mojito, Tryp Cayo Coco and Colonial facilities, precursors of tourism development in the Jardines del Rey destination and with a high rate of repeat customers.

She added that improvement is essential to keep them as preferred ones, in a context marked by the emergence of more modern facilities with competitive advantages.

Prior to the reopening, the workers of Cubanacán facilities renewed the condition "More Hygienic and Safe Tourism", and obtained the certificate of "Ready to operate", the latter granted by the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR).

Iberostar Mojito Hotel restarts its operations with Canadian tourists, but the arrival of nationals and the consolidation of the Russian market as the main one is expected.

She explained that said center remained closed since March 2020, due to the conditions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, a stage used to renovate the different areas and incorporate new attractions to the tourism product.

Close to its 20th anniversary, the Tryp Cayo Coco has been providing services since November 2020 with offers for nationals and foreigners. During the winter phase, it will consolidate the presence of clients from the Canadian, Russian and domestic markets, she stressed.

With the intention of resuming its normal operations in January, the emblematic Colonial Cayo Coco facility carries out maintenance work and a disinfection process, after serving as an isolation center for Cuban travelers from abroad.

The Cubanacán hotels in the northern Ciego de Ávila cays are marketed by Canadian and Russian tour operators (Sunwing, Air Transat, ANEX Tour and Pegas Touristik), in addition to the national agencies Viajes Cubanacán, Cubatur, Ecotur, Gaviota Tour and Havanatur, she stressed.

Martínez Alemán said that, on November 15, the Rueda Hotel for circuit tourism also reopened.
