The Morón citizens reaffirmed the validity of the thinking of Captain Roberto Rodríguez Fernández (El Vaquerito), when commemorating the 63rd anniversary of the fall in combat of that combatant from Column 8 “Ciro Redondo” of the Rebel Army and the triumph of the Revolution.
Alberto Echemendía Manzanares, member of the Municipal Party Bureau in Morón, emphasized that the example of this patriot was present in the confrontation with the health crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the undertaking of important economic and social transformations.
The strength of the character of El Vaquerito and the teachings of the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, also provided guidance and inspiration to strengthen popular unity in the face of the complexities in the epidemiological situation and the deepening of the US blockade against Cuba, he said.
Nilka Drake Mora, first secretary of the Cuba Communist Party in the locality itself, underlined the ability of the Cuban people to overcome the multidimensional crisis and promote the Ordinance Task, the immunization program and the repair of health institutions and recreational and gastronomic centers.
The leader also referred to the advances in the improvement of commerce and gastronomy, the approval of local development projects and the constitution of a small company, which has a positive impact on the progress of the territory.
She also referred to the proximity of the Balance Assembly of the Municipal Committee of the Party, to be held in January, with an agenda that includes issues related to the functioning of the local economy: food production and industry development tourist destination Jardines del Rey.
