Specific issues related to improve the economy, food production and tourism development will be debated at the Communist Party Balance Assembly (PCC) in the municipality of Morón, scheduled for next Saturday, January 15.

The functioning of the nuclei of the PCC, the political-ideological work in the face of the increase in subversive actions against Cuba and the fulfillment of the responsibilities of the militancy, Nilka Drake Mora, first secretary of the municipal committee of the organization stressed.

The meeting will take place after the III Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC PCC), where the duty of the militancy for maintaining the vitality of the revolutionary work was defined and the work guidelines and plans emanating from the Eighth Congress were made clear, she added.

Alberto Echemendía Manzanares, member of the PCC Bureau in the territory of Morón, highlighted in his Facebook account the cleaning and beautification actions that are carried out in the Training Center of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) in the province of Ciego de Ávila, selected as the venue for the meeting.

He specified that representatives of the political and mass organizations, and MINTUR workers, who undertake painting and sanitation work in the building and its green areas, in addition to the organization of the theater, take part in the refurbishment.

That room hosted the meetings of the Temporary Working Group for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19, during the pandemic peak in July and August, which had the Morón territory as one of its epicenters in the country.

There were conferences chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, a member of the CCPCC Secretariat, and other top-level leaders, who accompanied the people of Ciego de Ávila in the confrontation with the epidemiological complexities.

In accordance with the political organization in the Morón territory, in greeting to date, sanitation days have been carried out, and renovations in various gastronomic, cultural, sports and recreational facilities.
