Nilka has the imprint of the dye. She can't hide the black on her black skin, perhaps because it was a good dye or because it was very recent or because it was she who ended up edging her forehead, without time to go to a hairdresser's, on a Saturday afternoon.

The first secretaries of the Communist Party of Cuba usually continue to be so at that time and the order of the day hardly ever schedules arrangements. This Saturday, for example, she is sitting in front of Invasor, in the first interview of her very short stay in the position. Just three months. “With political work, we managed to get the peasants to agree to lower some prices and, although it is not constant, there is a greater presence of products in the 23 markets of the territory. On top of that, on the one hand there is a lack of money, and on the other, “contracts do not reflect the price of the product, since it varies a lot and that also influences contracting. However, the figure of the collector-seller emerged and the peasant sells to these new actors”, the secretary comments.

The challenge is greater for the Morón`s citizens, who not only have to feed themselves, but also "feed" a Tourism that grows in their noses without being able to satisfy it. Neither before nor now.

Hence, chaining is a utopia for many and a fact that Nilka offers draws attention. “Only the CCS Ñico López sells directly to Tourism, through three usufructuaries. Along with the ideological work that she ponders and elevates to a main function, Nilka knows that she has important challenges on both sides of the pedraplén and now she begins to cross it from one side to the other. It is the beginning of a journey in which she is behind the wheel.
