He was linked to Radio Morón since his high school years. He began his career as a television announcer while studying law at the University of Havana. Not only did he give his talent to radio in Morón, but also to the entire cultural life of the city, which owes him, among other things, the Boleros de Oro Festival.

”During his stay in the radio family, Marín Guevara could not hide his excessive love for work, which he manifested with his perseverance, his professional discipline and the seriousness and responsibility he assumed from the moment he entered, not only the announcement booth, but to the scope of his work,” journalist and colleague Leonel Iparraguirre said about him, when Radio Morón reached its 69th anniversary.

In the networks, the announcer Alfredo Fernández Arcia published about the news: “Sensitive loss for the radio in the city of the rooster and the Cuban radio. Jorge Nilo Marín dies in Morón. Innovator of a unique style in conducting and directing radio programs, he was also the main promoter of the bolero lovers movement in the land of the rooster.
