An important step in their professional training was reached by the group of 60 twelfth-grade students from the Camilo Cienfuegos Military School in Ciego de Ávila, who graduated this Friday, in order to continue higher education and contribute their knowledge to the development of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

Graduates with a high school degree, corresponding to the 2020-2021 school year, also paid tribute to our National Hero José Martí on this date, for the 169th anniversary of his birth.

Recently converted into cadets, these young people will study military, engineering, social sciences, foreign languages, medical sciences, as well as medium technicians in the classrooms of different military institutions and Cuban universities.

The young military students, as those who attend pre-university studies in these centers are popularly known, apart from the academic rigor and discipline with which they are trained, reached this goal by overcoming the impacts of COVID-19, which for almost two years influenced their teaching-educational process and in their own lives.

Vixán López González, the first graduation record pupil, who obtained a degree in Military Medicine, told Invasor that at first, he planned to join the Revolutionary Navy, but over time his motivations changed towards Medical Sciences, he dreams of becoming a cardiologist and integrate the Henry Reeve contingent.

He added that his results are due to perseverance, discipline and sacrifice in studies, which led him to participate in national biology competitions, Task Life activities, Camilo-Che conferences and stand out with relevance in scientific societies of subjects such as History, Spanish-Literature and Chemistry.

In the dialogue, López González thanked the support and motivation provided by family members, faculty, officials and the group of school workers to successfully overcome this stage of his life.

The cadet Nayaris Jorrin Pérez, who will be studying Stomatology, with visible emotion, highlighted the achievement of the objectives by her and her company colleagues in the midst of the difficult conditions imposed by the pandemic.

Leover Romero Ramírez, another of the graduates, said that his time at the educational center helped him forge his values ​​as a revolutionary and the importance of defending the achievements of the Cuban social project.

In the concluding words of the graduation, Colonel Demetrio Valdivia Sosa, Head of the Political Section of the Ciego de Ávila Military Region, congratulated the group of graduates and urged them to be worthy heirs to the example of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro before the historic enemy of the Revolution, which intensifies the blockade measures and applies fourth-generation war methods in pursuit of regime change, which demands greater ideological and professional preparation from them.
