Identifica Agrecocaribe sus contribuciones como proyecto

With the identification of the effective areas of change, the Franco-Cuban project FSPI Agrecocaribe lays the foundations for its second intervention in the Caribbean based on new alliances both in the academic field and in terms of scientific innovation.

The production of beneficial autochthonous microorganisms continues to be a priority for Agrecocaribe, since their promotion constitutes the greatest contribution, including the extension throughout the national territory of the IHPLUS® bio-products from Matanzas, ME 50 from Ciego de Ávila and the MEAG from Guantánamo.

Doctor of Sciences Genowefa Blundo Canto, from the International Center for Agricultural Research for Development in France (CIRAD), coordinated the interaction between the main actors of the project for its evaluation regarding the impact of Agrecocaribe.

Agrecocaribe has also enriched the interaction between the actors of the Franco-Cuban project with leading institutes of national agricultural development, as well as their links with international scientific institutions.

The socialization of products and good practices of producers at the base related to the efficient application of beneficial native microorganisms is also another of the main contributions of Agrecocaribe.

This Sunday, it was confirmed at the School-Farm Los Hondones, by the marriage of Osvaldo Gómez Reina and Ana Elsa Guerra Galafet, who produce their own efficient mountain microorganisms and are integrated into other projects such as Coastal Resilience and Connecting Landscapes.

Located in the Popular Council of Mabuya in the northern municipality of Chambas, Los Hondones is also a local development project of reference, whose experiences in the cultivation of dry rice have led to its integration with the Research Center of the Southern Grain of Jíbaro in the province of Sancti Spiritus.
