The Public Health authorities foresee some 67 births by the end of the first quarter of this year in the municipality of Chambas.

Through the Maternal and Child Care Program, pregnant women receive permanent assistance and follow-up, even when a considerable number of them are at high obstetric and prematurity risk.

According to reports from the Permanent Commission of the local government in charge of health matters, a group of organisms acts to achieve more income in the maternal home of those who need it and to specify the support of state sponsors for women at risk who present complex housing situations and feeding.

Attention to pregnant women to avoid prematurity, low birth weight, and guarantee the life of infants and mothers are priorities of the health system in Chambas, which foresees some 67 new deliveries by the end of the first quarter of 2022.
