The Round of Opportunities and Businesses that will take place on March 18 and 19 in the province of Ciego de Ávila, with representatives of different forms of economic management, will expand the possibilities to raise the quality of services in the facilities of the tourist destination Jardines del Rey.

At a press conference, Yadiel Pérez Téllez, coordinator of Food Distribution Programs and Objectives in the Provincial Government of People's Power, stressed that it will be a space to promote productive chains as a guarantee for the progress of the local and national economies.

He added that it would contribute to foster links between the new economic actors and the Socialist State Enterprise, so that the measures adopted in the country to strengthen the latter as the main subject of the Cuban economic model materialize.

Representatives of more than 100 state entities and around 80 new economic actors will star in the meeting, which will be held at the fairgrounds located in the City Park, in the main municipality, where they will exhibit goods and services during the first day, he explained.

Pérez Téllez announced the attendance of two MSMEs from the province of Villa Clara, Cerámicas El Hai and Bormey, dedicated to the manufacture of cups and vases of various models and colors, and to the production and export of food made from peanuts, dried fruits and processed fruits, respectively.

Contracts, collaboration agreements, letters of intent and other agreements will be signed; the launch and tasting of products, as well as the realization of marketing actions that contribute to the fulfillment of the objectives of the contest, he underlined.

At the end of the first session, the best business practices will be awarded in the categories of Quality, Social Communication, Best Stand, Best Product Design and Best Commercial Management; meanwhile, all the participants will receive diplomas accrediting the event, he clarified.

As a climax, on Saturday, March 19, starting at 8:00 am, there will be a trade fair, an opportunity to acquire productions of the participating entities and food emanating from the fields and mini-industries of Ciego de Ávila.
