UNICA convenes Scientific Convention

Under the motto “The 2030 Agenda and the University for Sustainable Development”, the University of Ciego de Ávila Máximo Gómez Báez summons professors, academics and specialists from all over the world to the UNICA 2022 International Scientific Convention, from October 17 to 21 to promote the "exchange of experiences, knowledge and popular knowledge in the academic and research sector".

The call was made public this March 14 through the social networks of the Ciego de Ávila institution, interested in discussing the main challenges of higher education in the world, the region and the country, with the aim of "outlining strategies for collaboration".

Ten thematic axes will guide the event: Automation and Computerization of society; Science of Physical Culture and Sport; Pedagogical Sciences and Education; Social Sciences and their responsibility with development; sustainable agricultural development, sustainable tourism management; Innovation in inclusive and sustainable development; Agricultural engineering and precision agriculture; Economic and Business Sciences, and Sustainable use of soil, water and energy resources. All managed by prestigious teachers from the province.

Registration fees for virtual and commercial exhibitors, network participants, undergraduate and graduate students, companions and delegates vary between 1,920.00 and 3,600.00 CUP for Cubans, and between 80.00 and 150.00 USD for foreigners.

Due to UNICA convenes Scientific Convention, interested parties must present scientific works in Spanish and English, and the approved works will have the right to be published by Oriente Editorial, from Santiago de Cuba, backed by a very high international prestige.
