A meeting with the main authorities of the municipality of Morón was held by the first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba in Ciego de Ávila, Livan Izquierdo Alonso, accompanied by his predecessor Carlos Luis Garrido Pérez.

In this context and as part of the process of handing over the position to Izquierdo Alonso, a video was shown reflecting the history of the territory, the main economic sources, the cultural traditions, the educational and health services and the work of the organizations political and mass.

During the dialogue with those present, the party leader was interested, among other aspects, in the income and expense plans, food production, the maternal and child program and the current epidemiological situation, taking into account that COVID-19 and arboviruses still represent a danger for Morón.

In the same way, the leader explained his criteria in order to prevent problems, such as the fulfillment of tasks and the enthusiasm that should characterize the activities for April 19, the 61st anniversary of the Victory of Playa Girón and for May 1st, International Workers' Day.
