The red flag with the emblem of the trade union movement and the slogan Cuba Lives and Works, the main motto of the imminent May 1st party, toured the streets, historic places and workplaces of the Ciro Redondo municipality, located in the center of the province of Ciego de Ávila.

The journey began through the monument to the Alzamiento de Piedras, one of the main events that marked the beginning of the uprisings for the independence of Cuba in that territory in 1868, and concluded the route of the banner at the Honorato del Castillo primary school.

The emblem of the union movement was also present at the torula yeast factory, the Raúl Ortiz polyclinic, the Ciro Redondo sugar mill and the micro district of the main town.

At the end of the parade of the May 1st flag through the town of Pina, Yanisbey Ciprián, general secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Workers Union of Cuba in Ciro Redondo, said that details are being finalized for the parade next Sunday, which will have as its point of departure Lenin Avenue and will conclude with an act of revolutionary reaffirmation in the place known as Centro Plaza.

The initiative started on April 3 in a voluntary work in sugarcane areas of the Primero de Enero municipality and will have its culminating moment next Sunday, when the insignia of the Ciego de Ávila trade union movement joins the Cuban flag and that of the July 26 movement, in the parade through the Máximo Gómez Báez Revolution Square, in the city of Ciego de Ávila.
