The fourth day of the integral visit of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party to our province begins.

At this time, Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, a member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party, was touring the fields planted with soybeans in Cubasoy, where some 3,000 hectares of this crop are expected to be harvested this year, with yields of two tons per hectare.

As it became known, the soybean planted is a Cuban seed produced by the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB). From the furrow, Broche Lorenzo called on Cubasoy to become the first high-tech company in Ciego de Ávila.

There, its board of directors exchanged with Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, member of that body and head of the Department of Attention to the Social Sector, who was interested in the main economic results and the scientific-technological projection of the entity.

According to Yusbany Cárdenas Benítez, general director of the Cubasoy Agricultural Company, they are currently working on the soybean harvest, with very good yields of two tons per hectare, even when the rain interrupts the harvesting process.

More than 3,300 hectares are allocated in this entity to viands, vegetables and fruit trees, in search of diversification, a number that could grow from the availability of irrigation machines and the investment of a mini-industry that should be ready in the second semester of 2023.
