Avanza renovación del catastro rural en Ciego de Ávila

The renewal of the rural registry base concluded in two municipalities of Ciego de Ávila (Venezuela and Bolivia) and shows progress in Primero de Enero, Ciego de Ávila, Majagua, Ciro Redondo and Baraguá, which represents a guarantee for the planning of economic and social development, and territorial ordering.

In charge of the Geocuba Company, it responds to the requirements of the Provincial Delegation of Agriculture, based on the interest in having a specialized cartographic base that defines what is related to land use, Daniel Joel González Jiménez, director of Registry in Ciego of Avila, stressed.

For the first time, the task is executed using the scale of 1:10,000, which positions Cuba among the few countries with that level of detail, he emphasized.

Information is collected on the actual measurements of the rural parcels, the value, the boundaries with their measurements and general data on the owners and usufructuaries of land; and the constructive or natural elements that exist on the ground are mapped to scale, with linear or punctual symbols, he explained.

It will be possible to identify land that is idle, infected with marabou or poorly exploited, he added.

This activity is carried out throughout the country, as indicated by the National Institute of Territorial Planning and Urbanism, which will make it possible to update the information in the Registry System, used at the national level for the use and maintenance of cadastral mapping.
