Marín said that in these first days of June the fundamental work consists of dispersing, throughout the field, the silica sand that will give greater longevity to the playing surface, a true gift to the family of this discipline, the one that has won the most awards for Ciego de Ávila.

The former player of the Cuba hockey team told Invasor that the plans are to hold the upcoming national championship here, scheduled for February, although before that it is possible that a match will be held as an official opening.

However, the benches for both teams will have to be completed and backstops installed to protect the goals. Once these two work objects have been completed, it will be possible to talk about playing in this modern facility.

A few days ago, the first vice president of INDER, Raúl Fornés Valenciano, during his visit to Ciego de Ávila, not only praised the quality of the work being carried out, but also recognized the current difficult conditions in terms of the availability of resources and financing to carry out successful the long-awaited work.
