The Electric Union reported that for the peak hours of this Monday a deficit in the service of 413 MW is estimated, with an availability of 2,287 MW and a maximum demand of 2,700 MW, for which affectations are forecast throughout the day and the night.

Units 6 and 7 of the Máximo Gómez thermoelectric plant, 3 of Ernesto Guevara, 4 of Diez de Octubre and 3 of Antonio Maceo, which are currently in the start-up process, are out of service due to breakdowns.

The unit of the Otto Parellada thermoelectric plant, 1 and 2 of the Lidio Ramón Pérez and 6 of the Antonio Maceo, are undergoing maintenance. The UNE indicated that a limitation on thermal generation of 389 MW is maintained.

For peak hours, the Electric Union forecasts the entry of unit 3 of the Antonio Maceo thermoelectric plant, with 50 MW, and the use of 127 MW in diesel engines.

In distributed generation, 1,183 MW are not available due to failure and 457 MW due to maintenance.

On Sunday, there were affectations in the electrical service from 11:10 a.m. and they have been maintained during the night and early morning of this Monday.

The maximum affectation was 489 MW at 10 p.m. The fundamental cause was the outage due to failures of unit 4 of the Diez de Octubre thermoelectric plant and unit 3 of the Antonio Maceo, in addition to the fact that the demand for the service behaved 355 MW above forecasts.
