Electric Power Company foresees affectations to the service due to a deficit in generation

The Electric Union reported that affectations to the service are forecast throughout the day and night of today, Friday, due to a deficit in generation. Yesterday, Thursday, the service began to be affected at 05:03 hours and this situation continued throughout the day.

The affectation in the peak hour was 644 MW at 9:30 p.m.The effects continued throughout the early hours of today with a minimum of 104 MW at 05:00. At 07:00 hours, the affectation continues with 205 MW.

Units 6 and 7 of the CTE Máximo Gómez and unit 3 of the CTE Ernesto Guevara are out of service due to breakdowns.

Under maintenance are the CTE Otto Parellada unit, CTE Lidio Ramón Pérez units 1 and 2, and CTE Antonio Maceo unit 6. The limitations in thermal generation (507 MW) are maintained.

In distributed generation, 1,080 MW are unavailable due to breakdown and 425 MW are undergoing maintenance.

For peak hours, the use of 139 MW in diesel engines is forecast.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,430 MW and a maximum demand of 2,950 MW are estimated for peak hours, for a deficit of 520 MW, for which service affectations are forecast throughout the day and night today.

All consumption restriction measures are implemented in the state sector.
