    Electric Power Company forecasts affectations to the service

    The Electric Power Company reported that the day before the service was affected due to a generation capacity deficit from 08:11 hours throughout the day. The maximum affectation during peak hours was 453 MW at 9:00 p.m. The effects have been maintained throughout the early hours of today.

    The note warns that it is forecast that the affectations to the service due to a deficit in generation capacity will continue, with a maximum of 650 MW at noon.

    Units 6 and 7 of the CTE Máximo Gómez, unit 3 of the CTE Ernesto Guevara, unit 4 of the CTE Diez de Octubre and units 3, 4 and 5 of the CTE Antonio Maceo are out of service due to breakdowns.

    The Otto Parellada CTE unit, Lidio Ramón Pérez CTE units 1 and 2, and Antonio Maceo CTE unit 6 are under maintenance. The limitations in thermal generation (333 MW) are maintained.

    In distributed generation, 1,067 MW are unavailable due to breakdown and 400 MW are undergoing maintenance.

    For peak hours, the use of 118 MW in diesel engines is forecast.

    With this forecast, an availability of 2,188 MW and a maximum demand of 2,750 MW are estimated for the peak hour, for a deficit of 562 MW, for which affectations to the service are forecast for this hour.

    All consumption restriction measures are implemented in the state sector.
