The new school year seems distant to those of us who do not live these days near a boy or girl who is going to enter university in 2023.
Luckily, the University of Ciego de Ávila (UNICA) Máximo Gómez Báez is now organizing dates and details, and Invasor echoes the facts given to the press by Dr. C. Niurka Tejeda, admission methodologist.
“We are developing a vocational orientation process in all pre-university schools in the province, through the Municipal University Centers, as part of the preparation for admission for the 2022-2023 period,” he commented.
For admission to the University, two calls are planned this year, as happened in the previous year. The ordinary one, scheduled for November 15, 2022, when the entrance exams begin, and until the 22nd. In addition, an extraordinary call for students who have not been able to attend the first one for justifying reasons, in January 2023.
The information is aimed at twelfth-grade students or graduates in previous years (under 28 years of age), who want to take competitive exams, who adhere to Order 18 by resolution of the Ministry of the Interior or the Revolutionary Armed Forces , graduates of the Peasant Worker Faculty; all with the right to enter the day course.

Their presentation on the day of the exams, always at eight in the morning, must be in full uniform if applicable, and they must come with their identity card. Cell phones and calculators are not allowed, and student health needs are considered.
“At 9:00 am, in a synchronized manner at the country level and with the entire process already organized, the test envelopes are opened, in the presence of a father or mother of the scholars and members of the Student Federation of the Secondary Education and the Union of Young Communists, to verify the legitimacy of the process”. They have four hours of work, until 1:00 pm, and during the first hour, no student can leave the classroom, for security reasons.
Under the slogan "The 2030 Agenda and the University for Sustainable Development", professors, academics and specialists from around the world will meet, invited by the University of Ciego de Ávila Máximo Gómez Báez, from October 17 to 21 of this year, to promote the "exchange of experiences, knowledge and popular knowledge in the academic and research sector".

As for the vacancy plan, Niurka Tejeda anticipated that it will be available for students to fill out their forms from July 9 to 28, and then from September 5 to 10, for those who could not do so at first.
