Afectaciones eléctricas de este lunes

The Electric Union (UNE) reports that as of 5:17 p.m. this Sunday, the electricity service began to be affected due to a lack of generation capacity in the system. The maximum effect at night was 205 MW, coinciding with the peak hour at 10:20 p.m.

This Monday, the service was restored at 02:44 a.m. and began to be affected again at 05:12 a.m. due to a deficit in generation capacity and will continue throughout the day today.

According to information from the UNE, units 6, 7 and 8 of the CTE Máximo Gómez, the CTE unit Otto Parellada, unit 1 of the CTE Ernesto Guevara, unit 5 of the CTE Diez de Octubre and units 4 and 6 of the CTE Antonio Maceo.

Unit 2 of the CTE Lidio Ramón Pérez and unit 4 of the CTE Carlos Manuel de Cespedes are under maintenance. The limitations in thermal generation (406 MW) are maintained.

In distributed generation, 1,037 MW are unavailable due to breakdown and 395 MW are in maintenance.

For peak hours, the entry of unit 4 of CTE Carlos Manuel de Cespedes is forecast with 110 MW, the entry of unit 4 of CTE Antonio Maceo with 45 MW and the use of 132 MW in diesel engines.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,552 MW and a maximum demand of 2,780 MW are estimated for peak hours, for a deficit of 228 MW, so if the forecast conditions are maintained, an affectation of 298 MW is forecast at the peak. This Tuesday, it is estimated that the service will be restored at 03:00 am.
