As of 05:12 yesterday, the electrical service began to be affected due to a deficit in generation capacity in the system. The maximum effect at night was 801 MW, coinciding with the peak hour at 9:00 p.m. The damage continued throughout the early hours of today.

The effects will continue throughout the day today, with a maximum of 500 MW during daytime hours.

Units 6, 7 and 8 of the CTE Máximo Gómez, the CTE unit Otto Parellada, unit 1 of the CTE Ernesto Guevara, units 4 and 5 of the CTE Diez de Octubre, the unit 2 of the CTE Lidio Ramón Pérez and unit 6 of the CTE Antonio Maceo. The limitations in thermal generation (454 MW) are maintained.

In distributed generation, 1,054 MW are unavailable due to breakdown and 392 MW are undergoing maintenance.

For peak hours, the entry of unit 6 of the CTE Antonio Maceo with 40 MW and the use of 129 MW in diesel engines is estimated.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,469 MW and a maximum demand of 2,950 MW are expected for peak hours, for a deficit of 481 MW, so if the forecast conditions are maintained, an affectation of 551 MW is forecast at the peak, Under these conditions, it is estimated that the effects on the service will continue throughout the early hours of tomorrow.

All consumption restriction measures are implemented in the state sector.
