The sports movement also wants to be a protagonist in these months of July and August and has just announced the First Recreational Sports Summer Olympics, in which the culture and sports departments in the municipality of Ciego de Ávila will be involved.

The official inauguration will be this Saturday at 9:00 in the morning, with a parade that will depart from the José Martí park and will stop at the Máximo Gómez, to later head towards the José Ramón Cepero stadium, where there will be an inauguration act which includes the participation of hundreds of students from different teachings of the territory.

With the sports-recreational event that will last until August 16, it is intended to greet the 69th anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks and the main motto will be Summer with everyone.

The disciplines of baseball 5, basketball, baseball, chess, futsal, skating, volleyball and rope traction are convened, in which primary, middle and pre-university students will compete.

Last summer, the workers in the sports sector received recognition in the final balance and this year they hope to increase the contribution to the smooth running of summer activities.
