The deficit in the availability of generation for this Monday will be 50 megawatts (MW), according to estimates by the Electrical Power Company from Ciego de Ávila.

In order to equate the time of service cuts by circuits ―which yesterday on average was 8 hours and 20 minutes―, the strategy is to turn off in the order of those that were least affected on Sunday and restore those that accumulated the most first. Complex the picture persists compared to the previous day, when the deficit reached 50 MW and the highest demand was 114 MW at 8:40 at night.

The schedule coincides with that of maximum impact in the country, which was 945 MW and that for today's daytime will be 850 MW, according to forecasts, from its page on the Facebook social network, of the Electric Union of Cuba.

Likewise, it foresees the peak use of 150 MW in diesel engines and an availability of 2,105 MW, less than the 3,050 MW of maximum demand, which will cause a deficit of 945 MW and, if no unforeseen event occurs, an affectation of 1,015 MW. .

The situation is consistent with the fact that units 6, 7 and 8 of the Máximo Gómez thermoelectric plant, 4 and 5 of the CTE Diez de Octubre, 1 and 2 of the CTE Lidio Ramón Pérez, 4 of the CTE Lidio Ramón Pérez, are out of service due to breakdowns. CTE Antonio Maceo, that of Otto Parellada; together with that 4 of the CTE Carlos Manuel de Céspedes is still under maintenance.

The limitations in thermal generation (421 MW) remain, while in distributed generation there are 1,119 MW unavailable due to breakdowns and 434 in maintenance.
