Twenty years after the creation of the system of territorial editions in the country, Ávila Editions recognized this weekend founding workers, as well as prominent cadres and groups of the Provincial Book and Literature Center of Ciego de Ávila.

Natacha Cabrera Cepero, director of the Ibrahim Doblado Literary Promotion Center in Rosario, argued the reason for encouraging essential actors in this daily battle for reading, coupled with their proven love for books and literature in its most dissimilar expressions and genres.

Among the founders of Ávila Editions, Carmen Hernández Peña and José Rolando Rivero were recognized, while Rafael Martin Suárez deserved the award for the best Head of Department of the Provincial Center for Books and Literature in Ciego de Ávila.

The director of that cultural institution, Yanelis Santos Nieves, also deserved recognition in the individual order, while in the collective it was achieved by the XX Bookstore Anniversary of the southern municipality of Venezuela.

The event for the twentieth anniversary of Ávila Editions was attended by Alberto Fernández Pena, President of the UNEAC and Roberto Jiménez González, Provincial Deputy Director of Culture, among other directors of cultural institutions in the territory, who also evoked the legacy of Fidel 96 years after his birth.
