This Friday, August 26, the forecasts of the Electric Power Company in Ciego de Ávila indicate a deficit of more than 50 megawatts (MW) in the availability of generation, a level similar to that suffered on Thursday 25, when it reached 51 MW.

The highest demand was 115 MW at 8:40 p.m. and the average number of blackouts per circuit lasted 6 hours and 40 minutes.

According to the estimates of the Electric Union of Cuba (UNE), from its page on the Facebook social network, during today's daytime hours the maximum impact will be 750 MW nationwide.ç

For the peak, the entry of unit 3 of the Ernesto Guevara thermoelectric plant (CTE) with 60 MW and the use of 140 MW in diesel engines is expected; In any case, the availability (2,410 MW) will be lower than the higher demand (3,100 MW) by 690 MW, which will cause an impact of 760 MW, less compared to yesterday's peak, which was 825 MW at 10:00 of the night.

They are out of service due to breakdowns, together with the aforementioned unit, that of the CTE Otto Parellada, the 4 of the CTE Diez de Octubre, the 1 and 2 of the CTE Lidio Ramón Pérez, plus the 6 and 7 of the CTE Máximo Gómez ; while the 3 of the Antonio Maceo CTE is still under maintenance.

The limitations in thermal generation continue (397 MW), as well as in distributed generation, 1,078 MW are unavailable due to breakdown and 499 are in maintenance.

In the state sector, all consumption restriction measures are applied.
