The contribution to the improvement of the quality of life in neighborhoods and communities of six municipalities is recognized among the merits that endorsed the granting of the Shield of the Province to the Supply and Services Company for Education of Ciego de Ávila (EPASE).

The resolution issued by Governor Tomás Alexis Martín Venegas highlights the systematic attention to the Pedro Martínez Brito popular council, in the main city, where they also contribute to solving the people's concerns and the identification of families and people in conditions of vulnerability.

The highest representative of the Government in the territory emphasized that this recognition expresses the respect and affection of the Ciego de Ávila citizens for the contribution of the EPASE group to economic and social development. He stressed that the delivery is supported, in addition, by the satisfaction of the needs of means and resources for the teaching-learning process, as well as the quality and innovation in the repair and maintenance of educational institutions and other organizations of the territory.

It is based on efficiency, rationality, effectiveness, quality, social responsibility, transparency, labor commitment and participatory management, defined as pillars of an entity with 93 men and women who contribute and generate precise and comprehensive solutions to problems, he added.

This attitude towards the tasks contributes to a progressive development of organizational reference, declared Martín Venegas, who also meant that the recognition of the Provincial Government of People's Power was preceded by others that confirm the results and the political commitment with tasks of economic and social impact.

The Coat of Arms of the Province is awarded to recognize and stimulate relevant merits of people born in the territory, country or abroad, and to groups and institutions that have contributed to local progress or carry out heroic actions that exalt the name of Ciego de Ávila.
